Avocado Dip
A simple and easy avocado dip that's perfect for dipping veggies, chips, or spreading on sandwiches.
- 1 Whole Avocado, very ripe
- 2 tbsp Creme Fraiche dairy or vegan
- 1 Clove of garlic, minced
- Juice of half a lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Drizzle of olive oil to serve
- Fresh herbs to serve e.g. coriander, chives, fresh chillis
Squeeze the avocado into a bowl and mash well with a fork. Use a pestle and mortar for an extra smooth dip.
Add in the creme fraiche, minced garlic and lime juice and mix well to combine
Season with salt and pepper to taste, I used around 1/4 tsp salt but start with a small pinch and add more slowly to avoid over-salting
Serve with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkling of fresh herbs or chilli.
